The Eagles exist to educate, instruct, and develop youth character and athletic ability through the sport of football. We are a non-profit, volunteer-run youth football organization.
We have two divisions:
Teams are formed by age/grade and skill level and play in the Platte County Youth Football League.
Teams are grade-specific with age requirements by grade and ball carrier weight limits. The Eagles are aligned with the Liberty North High School boundary in the Kansas City Football Cheer league.
Registration is a two-step process - you will need to register with the league and with the Eagles.
Please read and follow the instructions found here.
After you register, you'll receive an invitation to join the grade-appropriate team in the TeamSnap app. Once you accept the invite, you'll have access to the roster and schedule with more details about practice.
No, fundamentals will be taught regardless of grade.
Football is a full-contact sport so if an athlete is hesitant about contact, it may be advantageous to do flag football through Liberty Parks & Rec.
Registration fees increase after July 1 but registration remains open until July 16, 2024. Players must complete the registration process prior to starting practice. Also note that players need two weeks of practice before they are eligible to play in games.
Tackle teams typically practice 3 days per week. Most practices are held at Hodge Park, which is located on 96th Street off I-435N.
Coaches set the practice schedule for their team so days/times may vary. The schedule may be different at the beginning of season before school starts (typically, there will be an extra day of practice for tackle teams). Practices may start and end earlier as the season progresses when daylight hours are lost.
Any practice schedule changes will be communicated through TeamSnap.
Note: walkthrough practices may still be held under the heat rule (temperature is 95 degrees or above or if the heat index is 105 degrees or above).
Games are typically played on Saturdays throughout the fall season. The schedule will be released mid to late August.
Some teams may choose to participate in a pre-season tournament the last weekend in August (typically one game on Saturday and one on Sunday).
League regular season games week #1 is Labor Day weekend and the final games are the last weekend of October.
All teams will play a total of 8 league games (6 regular season games and an additional two post-season games that will be played the last two weekends in October).
Games will be played in the northland area (typically high school fields), at Heritage Football Complex (16240 Pflumm Road Olathe, KS 6606), or at Savannah Youth Sports Complex (204 N Ironwood Savannah Missouri United States 64485).
$440 total ($350 paid to Eagles + $90 paid to KCFC for equipment (helmet, shoulder pads) rental)

The following documents are required:
Copy of birth certificate
Copy of most recent grade card
Sports physical dated within 6 months of the start of practice (unless you received a 2 year physical in the state of MO)
Tackle players must have a physical on file prior to starting practice. Choose from either the KCFC or MSHSAA form as either one will be accepted. If you will need the official physical form for school or other sports, use the MSHSAA form.
Rosters may be adjusted to balance teams within the KCFC league. Player location and preference will be taken into consideration. Returning Sharks players from the 2018 season have been grandfathered in and will be guaranteed a spot as well as residents inside the Liberty North High School boundary.
Our flag and tackle leagues do not have roster limits so cuts are not necessary.
If we exceed the maximum roster number at a particular grade, we will split into separate teams, typically an A and a B team.
The first several practices will be used as skill evaluations to determine positions and team assignments, if necessary.
